Dear Union Furnace Family,
Union Furnace is ready for the outdoors and will be 🏕️ Camp Union Furnace for the 2025-2026 school year! Our caring and dedicated staff look forward to seeing you and your child for Open House on Tuesday, Aug.12th 4:00-6:00 PM. Please, feel free to bring your school supplies that evening to your child’s class.
During Open House you will have the opportunity to meet your child’s classroom teacher, school staff & bus drivers, as well as sign up for Express Pick Up & PTO. Learn about our reading program when you visit the Title I reading teacher, Mrs. Duke, check out the community programs from local clubs such as the Girl Scouts, Hocking County Children’s Chorus, Atomic Credit Union School Bank, Project Safe: Before/After Care Program & Pantry. We also will have a school supply table with free giveaways. A special craft will be available to paint and will be organized by our PTO with teacher help. 🎨🖌️
Bring medicine to the school nurse with proper paperwork if your child will be taking medication at school. Remember that all breakfasts and lunches are free to all students every day within the LHSD.
During Open House sign up for the Remind & LHSD apps on your phone. School communication and school news will be through these apps. Also, login and become familiar with Infinite Campus as all interim grades will be accessed this way.
