5th grade students and LHMS Student Council members collaborated to sponsor a canned food and hygiene item drive to support our community's local food pantry. LHMS students donated a total of 2,191 items, exceeding the school goal of 1,500. Items were donated to the Market at Hocking Drive which partners with HAPCAP and the SE Ohio food bank to create a market style shopping experience for members of our community. In celebration of exceeding the school goal, the top contributing classroom earned a special lunch catered by LHMS staff and the top individual contributors got to throw pies at LHMS principals and Officer Smith!
