In seventh grade, we’re excited to help students begin thinking about their future. As part of our career readiness activities, students work on building important life skills like writing a résumé and learning how to budget money. We also introduce them to different educational pathways, including Tri-County Career Center, college, and adult technical schools, to help them start imagining the many possibilities ahead. Recently, Ms. Ellinger’s English classes had a special visit from local firefighters with the Logan Fire Department. Students learned about the roles, responsibilities, and real-life experiences of firefighters—a great way to connect classroom learning with potential future careers. It was an engaging and inspiring experience that sparked a lot of great questions and curiosity among our students!
