FCCLA

Family & Consumer Science and FCCLA have been busy this past month. In addition to

the many hands on projects in class that they have been completing, they have also had some

unique experiences as well. Child Development students were able to visit the preschools in a

job shadowing project. They read Elephant and Piggie books to the students, as well as

assisted with some artwork. They had a guest speaker from The Atomic Credit Union.

Crystal Detty spoke to Family & Consumer Science & Financial Literacy courses about

Credit scores, Life Skills, and making money. Also, FCS classes and FCCLA traveled to

Columbus, Ohio recently to visit COSI. Students visited the human body exhibit and saw a full

scale human replica. They also experienced the electricity exhibit and an ocean experience.

Students really enjoyed all the interactive exhibits like testing your strength.
