In the fall the Student Lighthouse Team of Green Elementary collected funds for the Hocking County Honor Guard so participants could purchase uniforms to perform their duties. All in all, Green students collected about $1,000. The team is now expanding their collection project to include other schools and community members by offering collections in all elementary schools and at home middle school and high school basketball games on Monday, January 15th, through Friday, January 21st, which is the annual Military Appreciation Night event. The students of Green Elementary would like to invite our local community to donate to this special project by sending money to school with their students or giving when they attend a basketball game.
