Due to the recent winter storm, the Logan High School Instrumental Music Department has rescheduled their winter band concert to Wednesday, February 16 at 7pm in the Logan High School Theatre. Director of Bands is Jennifer Olis. Assistant Directors are Ben Wright and Lindsay Van Winkle with Ryan Garrett as Percussion Instructor and Wyatt Harrington as Professional Intern.
The Seventh Grade Band will open the concert with “Glorioso” by Robert W. Smith; “Zig Zag” by Sean O'Loughlin and “The Tempest” by Robert W. Smith. The Eighth Grade Band will perform “(Ghost) Riders in the Sky” by Stan Jones/Arr. Paul Lavender; “Ancient Voices” by Michael Sweeney, and “Alarm” by Randall Standridge. The Logan High School Jazz Band will perform “Alright, Okay, You Win” arranged by Michael Sweeney; “Designated Swinger” by Paul Clark; “Sucker” arranged by Paul Murtha; and “Who Are You” by Peter Townshend/Arr. John Wasson. The Senior High Concert Band will perform “Conquista” by David Shaffer; “Highlander” by Tyler Arcari; and “Stone Gardens” by Robert W. Smith.
Admission to the concert is $2.00 for students and $3.00 for adults.
