"Dear LHSD Families,
Late Tuesday evening, April 5, 2022, the Logan-Hocking School District (LHSD) identified a threat toward Logan High School by a student on social media. Our district families should know that as with any potential threat, we are taking this situation very seriously, with our students' safety being our top priority.
After close coordination with local law enforcement and the student involved, we have determined that there is no ongoing threat to our schools. If any parent or community member sees or hears something suspicious, please report it to local law enforcement immediately. Students are reminded to alert a district staff member or law enforcement if they see or hear something concerning.
LHSD greatly appreciates the efforts of all those involved, especially those who notified law enforcement and contributed to the swift resolution of the situation.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Monte Bainter, Superintendent
Logan-Hocking Schools
