On March 30, 2026, four members of the Chief Logan FFA participated in a mulching day, hosted by the Logan Tree Commission, in collaboration with Hocking County Soil and Water Conservation District. Members worked together, using tools and wheelbarrows to move and spread the mulch evenly on the ground beneath the Great White Oak tree in Logan. The tree is a historic landmark and cherished memory for many people throughout the area. It is 600 years old, and therefore takes many hands and dedication to maintain. Chief Logan FFA is excited to have a hand in preserving this beloved tree.
