On October 29, our 5th and 6th grade band students had the exciting opportunity to travel to Ohio University to attend the annual “Hallopalooza” concert presented by the OU Symphony Orchestra. This special performance featured a variety of engaging and well-known pieces, including music from Wicked, Encanto, and Gustav Holst’s The Planets. Students were able to experience live orchestral music in an inspiring university setting and see how musicians at the collegiate level bring music to life through expression, precision, and teamwork.
This trip was made possible through the generous support of Project Bridge, an organization that works to enhance and sustain our middle school band program. We are so grateful for their continued partnership in helping provide meaningful musical experiences for our students.
