Logan-Hocking Schools expanded career exploration opportunities this year through the Find Your Path Career Series, immersive career visits, job shadowing, internships, and a career fair. These experiences helped students explore pathways aligned with their interests and skills by connecting directly with local businesses, training programs, and industry professionals.
Through the Find Your Path Career Series, local professionals visited classrooms at Logan High School to share their career journeys, industry insights, and workforce expectations—giving students a real-world look at opportunities available right here in our community.
Students also participated in career visits to Amanda Manufacturing, Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18, and Hocking Valley Community Hospital, gaining hands-on exposure to careers in manufacturing, skilled trades, and healthcare.
Additionally, 12 students completed job shadowing experiences, while others participated in internships through Building Bridges to Careers, including five students in the Ohio Handle With Care Mental Health Internship and two students in a technology internship. Five students also took part in the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center High School Mentorship Program.
At the LHS Career Fair, more than 20 businesses and organizations provided students with interviews, networking opportunities, and career conversations. Several students secured seasonal, part-time, or full-time jobs as a result.
These experiences reflect the district’s commitment to helping students explore options, build skills, and take meaningful steps toward college, apprenticeships, military service, or entering the workforce.
Logan-Hocking Schools extends a sincere thank you to our many business, industry, and community partners who made these career exploration experiences possible. Their time, expertise, and commitment provided students with valuable learning opportunities and real-world career insights.
