As part of a month-long celebration of the arts and arts education, students from Logan-Hocking Middle School, Brelyne Edgar and Taryne Spencer have had their artwork selected for the 2025 Statehouse Student Exhibition. As part of a month-long celebration of the arts and arts education, the Ohio Art Education Association joined with the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education and the Ohio Arts Council to mount a student exhibition to recognize the talents, creativity, and innovation of students who receive high quality arts education instruction as part of their academic experience in school.
The exhibition hosts works of art featuring students in grades K-12 in Ohio’s schools. The Statehouse Student Art Exhibition is housed in the Ohio Statehouse and Riffe Center Gallery in Columbus, the works of art are open to the public during normal hours of operation daily. Last year, thousands of visitors took tours of the Statehouse during the exhibition and enjoyed the student work! The exhibition opened Saturday, March 29, 2025 with a ceremony and reception for artists and their families. The student artwork can be viewed at the Ohio Statehouse until April 30 and Riffe Center Gallery until May 30.
