Dear LHSD Community,

I am writing to share the bittersweet news that sometime after the first of next year, I am planning to officially retire as a public school superintendent.

This job has truly been the pinnacle of superintendencies and an incredibly rewarding career. I am so grateful to our school board, staff, students, families and community at large for your support over the years. I am thankful, as well, to have another school year here with all of you.

After 21 years as a district superintendent, I’m also looking forward to the next chapter in my life, which will include leading the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center, which serves the Logan-Hocking School District. So, I’m not going far. I will be able to continue to contribute to this community that I love and to provide services and support to this district and others in our region.

Sincerely,

Monte Bainter, Superintendent

Logan-Hocking Schools
